Snowmass has over 13.6 km2 (5.3 square miles) of skiable terrain with 6% beginner, 47% intermediate, and 47% expert. It’s known for long cruisers, glades, and steep alpine terrain.

  • Fanny Hill (Beginner - Green): A long beginner run leading right into Snowmass Base Village, perfect for day one.
  • Sneaky’s (Intermediate - Blue): Flowing groomer with a rhythm that suits long carving turns.
  • Long Shot (Intermediate - Blue): A 5 mile forested descent that’s a true test of endurance, often quiet and untouched.
  • Bull Run (Intermediate - Blue): A classic for early intermediates, especially good in the morning.
  • Funnel (Intermediate - Blue): Wide and open, with options to veer into glades.
  • Blue Grouse (Intermediate - Blue): A low-traffic blue that offers peace and great snow.
  • Easy Scooper (Beginner - Green): Long and gentle, great for practicing turns without pressure.
  • The Edge (Expert - Black): A tight tree run with technical drops, perfect on powder days.
  • Velvet Falls (Expert - Black): Gladed slope with natural terrain features and short steeps.
  • Sandy Park (Intermediate - Blue): Consistently groomed and scenic, great for confident cruising.
  • Sheer Bliss (Expert - Black): Open alpine terrain with moguls, often wind-blown and challenging.
  • Hanging Valley Wall (Extreme - Double Black): One of Snowmass’s steepest zones, tight chutes and cliffs for experts only.
  • Hanging Valley Glades (Expert - Black): Tree skiing paradise with soft snow and endless lines.
  • Cirque Headwall (Extreme - Double Black): High alpine bowl accessed by a T-bar, exposed and demanding.
