Additionally, Killington's sister resort, Pico Mountain, located just 10 minutes away by car, provides an additional 58 trails.

Beginners

Killington offers ample beginner-friendly terrain, particularly around the Snowshed and Ramshead areas. Gentle, wide-open trails, excellent grooming, and dedicated beginner lifts make learning here comfortable and enjoyable. Professional ski schools offer comprehensive lessons for both children and adults.

Intermediates

Intermediate skiers will enjoy Killington’s expansive network of groomed cruisers and varied trails. The terrain across Snowdon Mountain, Bear Mountain, and Skye Peak provides ideal conditions, with long, cruising runs that are meticulously groomed nightly, covering around 40 miles (64 kilometres) each evening.

Advanced

Advanced skiers have plenty to tackle at Killington, from steep mogul runs to challenging glades. Iconic trails such as Outer Limits at Bear Mountain, known as one of the steepest mogul runs in the East, and Superstar, which hosts World Cup ski events, provide exhilarating challenges for experienced skiers.

Killington is renowned for freestyle terrain, home to the Woodward Mountain Park, recognised as the best terrain park in the East. It features six distinct parks, including "The Stash," a unique all-natural park with over 50 features, and an 18-foot modified superpipe available later in the season.

The ski season in Killington for 2025/26 is scheduled to run from 15 November to 10 May. These dates are provided by the resort and may be subject to change depending on snow conditions and other operational factors.

Killington snow history

Killington offers optimal snow conditions from December through April. December and January consistently bring about 12 cm (4.72 in) and 14 cm (5.51 in) of snow respectively, dispersed across roughly 3.1 days each week, ensuring regular fresh snow. February's snowfall slightly increases to 18 cm ( 7.08 in) and occurs more frequently, averaging 3.6 days per week. The pinnacle of snowfall arrives in the second week of March, traditionally the snowiest week in Killington, with an impressive 21 cm (8.26 in) of snow over 3.2 days, making it a paradise for those who cherish Bluebird Powder Days, when sunshine and light winds follow fresh snowfall.
