As part of the Espace San Bernardo ski area, linked with La Thuile in Italy, La Rosière offers over 150 km (93 mi) of ski runs, making it the only international ski area in the Savoy region.
Beginners: Gentle greens at Les Eucherts sit beside a cosy base with cafés for parents. Progression blues from Roches Noires are wide and forgiving, ideal for linking first turns.
Intermediates: Blues and reds roll over sunny south-facing slopes towards the Italian border. From Fort de la Redoute, ski into La Thuile through peaceful forests, grab an espresso, then ride back in an afternoon.
Advanced & off-piste: Five blacks plus the steeper red bowls of Mont Valaisan challenge confident skiers. Guided heli-drops onto the Ruitor Glacier (Italy) offer untouched powder and epic scenery.
Snowboarding: Poletta Snowpark above Eucherts has lines for all standards, while natural side-hits line the long San Bernardo reds to Italy. Most lifts are chairs, so boarders avoid drag-lift struggles.
La Rosière’s "Famille Plus Montagne" certification highlights its dedication to families, offering a wide range of family-friendly accommodations, activities, and amenities. The resort’s sunny slopes and welcoming atmosphere make it an ideal destination for families with children. With gentle ski areas, snow gardens, and activities like sledging and snowshoeing, La Rosière provides a relaxing yet active holiday experience for both parents and children.
Snow activities: Dog sledding, parapenting, snow biking, snowkiting, heli-skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoe walking.
Non-skiing activities: Cinema, ice rink, indoor pool, bowling.
La Rosière’s dining scene may be modest in size, but it offers a good variety of high-quality options, mixing French and Italian flavours.
While La Rosière is a quieter, family-friendly resort, it still offers a relaxed après-ski scene with a couple of cosy bars that provide great options for enjoying a drink and some live music in the evening. For those seeking a livelier evening, Tuesday nights tend to be the most energetic in the resort.

I usually book flights, transfers, hotel, ski rental and lift passes myself but this year used WeSki for a trip to Morzine. It was so much easier. Everything worked perfectly - transfers arrived on time and there was plenty of feedback throughout the whole process giving you confidence the holiday would go smoothly.
A really useful service that is so much easier to use than other 'all-inclusive' sites. It nicely bridges the gap between a travel agent and booking the trip yourself online. I will use WeSki every time I go skiing from now on.
We booked a late minute skiing trip to Morzine through we ski. We looked at booking the trip ourselves but could get anywhere near the price quoted by we ski. The company was excellent and we had no problems at all from start to finish. I would definitely use them to book another weekend skiing trip.
Seamless experience from start to finish. I was spending ages trying to sort out a weekend break and managed to do it with we ski in minutes and for the same price as booking it all up yourself. Flight, transfer and accommodation was all as expected and faultless.
