Saalbach best ski pistes

Saalbach is part of the vast Skicircus and offers endless loops, valley runs, and smooth reds across sunny slopes:

  • Turmwiese (Beginner - Green): Located at the heart of the village, this nursery slope is perfect for beginners.
  • Asterabfahrt (Intermediate - Red): A flowing piste descending into the valley, offering excellent visibility and consistent gradient.
  • Bernkogelabfahrt (Intermediate - Blue): Popular blue piste linking the Bernkogel lift, ideal for warm-up runs.
  • Zwölferkogel (Expert - Black): A north-facing race piste with icy sections and challenging drops.
  • Kohlmais (Intermediate - Blue): Mellow and sunny, it’s one of the most enjoyable cruisers in the area.
  • Schattberg Piste 1a (Expert - Black): Long and steep, descending all the way into the valley with impressive vertical drop.
  • Zwölferkogel Pistes 14 & 15 (Intermediate - Red): Dual red pistes offering wide turns and great carving terrain.
  • Jausernabfahrt (Intermediate - Red): A favourite end-of-day run, long and scenic, winding through the forest back to Vorderglemm.
